About Us
Mission Statement
The purpose of this association is to bring together in common bond those persons who work in, are a part of, or are interested in the media arts and the elevation and enrichment of the media arts and all related arts through seminars, workshops, media competitions, and special projects. Its further purpose is for members to work together using their unique talents and abilities to engage in fund-raising projects to assist diverse charities in their work. It shall also strive to bring together an exchange of ideas and efforts in the media arts from other countries.
Specifically this organization is organized to:
- Provide a forum to discuss ideas for assisting charitable organizations with their efforts through the use of media arts.
- Educate MGI members to increase their skills in the Voice-Over industry and other related performing arts fields.
- Encourage and promote MGI members to contribute their talent in the Voice-Over industry.
Meet Our Board of Directors
Executive Director: Betty Lougaris
Betty
grew up in Reno, Nevada, where she performed on radio at age 10, participating
in Nevada School of the Air and radio commercials. She received both her
Master's and Bachelor's degree in Theatre from California State University.
Betty's main focus is as a voice-over talent recording over 600 commercial
scripts, animation, education and documentary films and videos. She has
produced three television pilots under her own production company and
directed and produced 15 animated stories for Dixie Entertainment Productions
in Long Beach, CA. In addition to voicing scripts, Betty also takes roles
in film and television projects such as ABC's soap, General Hospital.

Secretary: Susan Ptak
Susan
Ptak, Secretary for Media Guilds International, is a Legal Assistant by
day and an aspiring voice over talent by night and weekends. You may have
heard Susan in a public service announcement for SafeKids Clark County
on 97.1 or caught her with the MGI ensemble at the Blind Center or possibly
at a recent networking event at the House of Blue Foundation Room. Through
her efforts, Media Guilds International received a $10,000 grant to produce
a commemorative CD for the Las Vegas Centennial.
